PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink liquid feed controller for controlling the liquid feed of ink corresponding to the characteristics of the ink injected into an ink cartridge; and to provide an image forming apparatus and an ink liquid feed control method. SOLUTION: The ink liquid feed controller includes: a means for measuring a voltage between two electrodes provided in a sub ink tank; a control means for stopping the liquid feed of the ink to the sub ink tank when the voltage is smaller than a first predetermined value; and a means for setting the first predetermined value based on an electric conductivity of the ink.
