PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method of free sulfur in rubber, making measurement simply by using a general reagent and a general analyzer. SOLUTION: This determination method of free sulfur in rubber is described as follows: a rubber sample is dissolved into chloroform; diethyl ether is added thereto, while being stirred, to thereby precipitate the rubber sample and dissolve free sulfur into diethyl ether; diethyl ether solution containing free sulfur is dried in the depressurized state, and then an acquired dried product is re-dissolved into chloroform; and the acquired chloroform solution is determined by liquid chromatography.
