PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cup having a flange formed with a barrel being rolled in an opening, in particular, a paper cup having a flange in a flat shape formed thereon, which is capable of easily sealing a lid and excellent in sealability. SOLUTION: The paper cup is characteristically made of a barrel blank such that a notch is provided at an upper corner of the barrel blank, the notch having a paper layer notched, while a thermoplastic resin layer is extended from the end edge part of the barrel paper layer including the notch, the barrel blank having its thermoplastic resin layer's extended section folded back so as to cover the end edge of the paper layer for bonding.
