PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting capable of surely obtaining electric connection with a counterpart terminal fitting, and yet with downsizing aimed at. SOLUTION: The terminal fitting 1, 101 includes first elastic pieces 78, 178 extended from one wall 61 of a cylindrical terminal body part 6 for an inserter 8 of a counterpart terminal fitting 2 to be inserted into toward another wall 62 facing the above 61, and second elastic pieces 79, 179 extended from the other wall 62 to that first wall 61, pinching the inserter 8 between the first elastic pieces 78, 178 and the second elastic pieces 79, 179, tip parts 78a, 178a of the first elastic pieces 78, 178 and tip parts 79a, 179a of the second elastic pieces 79, 179 are arrayed so as to be along either an intruding direction X of the inserter 8 or a direction Y crossing both the intruding direction X and a direction Z where the first wall 61 and the other wall 62 face each other.
