PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability for each user. SOLUTION: An image processor has an operation panel part 2 which detects operation signals, a microcomputer 14 and an ASIC 13 which set either of a normal state or a power saving state, a personal authentication means 3 for authenticating individual user of the image processor, and a nonvolatile memory 17 which stores the relationship between detection patterns of operation signals inputted from the operation panel part 2 for every user detected by the operation panel part 2 and functions that are linked to the detection patterns to recover from the power saving state with high priority. In the power saving state, the personal authentication part 3 identifies an authenticated user, and based on detection patterns of operation signals that are continuously detected in a preset time and detection patterns stored in the nonvolatile memory 17, the image processor starts a function that is preset for the identified user and performs recovery with high priority to return from the power saving state to the normal state.
