PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of modelling a nuclear reactor for showing higher convergence accuracy, better computational error robustness, and a higher calculation efficiency.
SOLUTION: The method of modelling the nuclear reactor core comprises steps of: partitioning the core into cubes for computer implemented calculation; and calculating neutron flux by using an iterative solving procedure of at least one eigensystem. The components of an iterant of the eigensystem correspond either to a neutron flux, to a neutron outcurrent or to a neutron incurrent, for each of the cubes to be calculated. The neutrons are sorted in a plurality of neutron energy groups, and the iterative solving procedure comprises a multi-level V-cycle with a top level giving the eigensystem and at least one bottom level. The eigensystem iterative solving procedure comprises steps of: conditioning the eigensystem into a spare eigensystem in the downward orientation of the V-cycle; calculating a solution of the spare eigensystem at the bottom level; and reintroducing the solution in the upper levels of the V-cycle in the upward orientation at the top level.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
|
