<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image display which allows easy recognition, even when the optical axis of an imaging apparatus is set downward or upward, compared to a direction which is parallel to the ground surface. <P>SOLUTION: An image photographed by a CCD camera 10, whose optical axis is set downward or upward, is not displayed, as it is, but a corrected image in which pixel positions of the photographed image are transformed according to a transformation map 21 is generated; and the corrected image is displayed to a display device 30. Since even though the transformation map 21 in the photographed image should be displayed in the vertical direction from the ground, it indicates relations in pixel positions between the photographed image and the corrected image so as to obtain a corrected image whose inclination is corrected, with respect to a display object to be displayed inclined from the vertical direction.
