<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a high speed, high density electrical connector and a connector assembly minimizing cross talk, and improving control of impedance and attenuation irrespective of whether the connector is using a single end signal or it is using a difference signal. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of signal conductors is provided, each signal conductor has a first contact end connectable to a printed circuit board, a second contact end, and an intermediate part therebetween that is disposed in an insulative housing, and the signal conductors are disposed along a first side of insulative posts. A plurality of ground conductors is provided, each ground conductor has a first contact end connectable to a printed circuit board, a second contact end, and an intermediate part therebetween that is disposed in the insulative housing, the ground conductors are disposed along a second side of the insulative posts, and the signal conductors and the ground conductors are electrically isolated from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
