When the mode is changed from fixed transmission mode to continuous transmission mode, as a switching mode for defining the switching state of the transmission mode, the selecting means selects a responsiveness-priority mode determined so that the driving responsiveness is prior to shock relaxation when the request acceleration is determined to be large, or selects a shock relaxation priority mode determined so that the shock relaxation is prior to the driving responsiveness when the request acceleration is determined to be small.
