PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum molding apparatus that forms partial protrusions without faults, a protrusion molding method, and a molded article having protrusions. SOLUTION: When negative pressure is supplied to each small hole 252 of a mold 172 and the mold 172 is lowered toward a softened base material 162, the base material 162 is sucked and adhered to the mold 172 by the generated negative pressure. By this, the base material 162 is deformed according to the uneven shape of the mold 172. The base material is held in that state for a prescribed period of time, and then, the base material 162 is separated from the mold by blowing out air from each small hole 252. On that occasion, each top surface 76, 95 of each engaging part 73 and each part 92 to be engaged of the base material 162 is urged by air blown out of the small holes 252 of first/second protrusion forming parts 242, 262 of the mold 172.
