PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which can update and add search target data in parallel with a search and of quickly performing degenerate operation when a search processing apparatus is faulty, with respect to a character string collation-type full text search system for searching a large amount of data in a short time using a plurality of processors. SOLUTION: An allocation system includes: a search and integrating means which divides search target character string data 1 into a group of character string records to allocate them to one or more search processing apparatuses 4 and transmits a given character string search condition to each search processing apparatus 4 and receives and integrates search results; an addition/update temporary storage means 3 wherein only records to be added or updated of the search target character string data 1 are temporarily stored; and an added/updated record search indication means 8 which indicates a character string record group stored in the addition/update temporary storage meas 3, to one preliminarily determined search processing apparatus 4 as data for search.
