PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of maintaining moisture-proofing, and also, securing positioning accuracy, and to provide an imaging apparatus including the display device. SOLUTION: The display device includes: a display part in which an optical modulating member is held between a first substrate and a second substrate; a holding frame part holding the display part; a positioning part which comes into contact with at least the side surface of the second substrate of the display part to regulate the movement of the display part held in the holding frame part, from the holding position; and a sealing member which is inserted between the inner peripheral surface of the holding frame part and the side surface of the display part, not contacting with the positioning part.
