PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine capable of easily adjusting the tensile force of a timing belt at a low cost in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The shape of motor-side screw insertion holes 36b and 36c is defined as an elliptical shape along the turning direction of a motor 30 with a shaft portion of a screw 63 threaded in a motor-side screw insertion hole 36a defined as the turning center. While loosening three screws 63 which are penetrated through the motor-side screw insertion holes 36a-36c and threadedly engaged with bracket-side screw holes 61a-61c, a worker turns the motor 30, with the shaft portion of the screw 63 threaded in the motor-side screw insertion hole 36a defined as the turning center.
