PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for mounting an underwater sounder capable of maintaining a posture without being affected by the oscillation of a platform. SOLUTION: A gimbal mechanism 2 is mounted to an underwater part of the platform 5; a capsule 3 in a spherical shell shape is mounted to the gimbal mechanism 2; liquid is filled into the capsule 3; and an underwater sounder 4 is mounted into the capsule 3.
