PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc type steam trap with a valve disc opened in an early stage over a long period of time. SOLUTION: A variable pressure chamber is formed inside of the disc type steam trap by a body 1 and a cover member 10, and an injection port 4 is opened in the center of the body 1 on the side of the variable pressure chamber so that an inlet 2 communicates with the variable pressure chamber. An annular groove 5 is formed in the outer periphery of the injection port 4, an inner ring valve seat 7 is formed between the injection port 4 and the annular groove 5, an outer ring valve seat 8 is formed around the outer periphery of the annular groove 5, and the variable pressure chamber communicates with an outlet 3 through a discharge port 6 from the annular groove 5. A disk-shaped valve disc 17 which is separated/seated from/on a valve seat surface composed of an inner ring valve seat 7 and an outer ring valve seat 8 and which has a diameter larger than that of the outer ring valve seat 8 is arranged inside of the variable pressure chamber. The variable pressure chamber is divided into a first variable pressure chamber 12 with the valve disc 17 arranged and a second variable pressure chamber 13 positioned outside the first variable pressure chamber by a diaphragm 11.
