<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal case lining for an inner wall of a furnace or a flue attached to the inner wall of the furnace such as an incinerator of waste or a metal melting furnace, or to the inner wall of the flue, which is capable of effectively preventing adhesion and accumulation of molten fly ash, and moreover, facilitating removal work even upon occurrence of the adhesion and accumulation of the molten fly ash. <P>SOLUTION: The lining is attached to the inner wall of the furnace or the flue, and it includes a hollow metal square prismatic body, a heat insulating material layer arranged on one side inside the square prismatic body, and a refractory material layer containing SiC as a component arranged on the other side inside the square prismatic body.
