<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of efficiently continuing printing process in the occurrence of errors in the printer, and to provide a method of controlling the same and a program. <P>SOLUTION: When the printer is provided with resources necessary for executing an input printing job, the printing job is registered as a standby printing job. Also, when the printer is not provided with resources necessary for executing an input printing job, the printing job is registered as a retreating job. In accordance with the instruction by a user, sequence is set in which the printing job registered as the retreating job is to be executed. When the printer is provided with resources necessary for executing the printing job registered as the retreating job, the printing job registered as the retreating job is registered as a standby printing job so that the printing job registered as the retreating job is executed in the set sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
