PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel which can highly accurately position an initial-stage gear component for a zoom drive device. SOLUTION: A positioning shaft 10c for positioning the imaging element ground plate 10 and a cover cylinder 11 is formed on the imaging element ground plate 10 of the lens barrel so as to be axially located on the rotating shaft 10b of the initial-stage gear component 93. Besides, a positioning hole 11c for positioning the imaging element ground plate 10 and the cover cylinder 11 is formed in the cover cylinder 11 so as to be axially located on the rotating shaft 11a of the initial-stage gear component 93. Then, the positioning shaft 10c of the imaging element ground plate 10 and the positioning hole 11c of the cover cylinder 11 are fitted into each other into which the initial-stage gear component 93 is pierced.
