PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a tablet containing bismuth-based glass and a refractory filler, which can seal an exhaust pipe well in the secondary firing step, while hardly softens again in the vacuum exhaustion step, thereby can enhance production efficiency and brightness characteristic of PDP or the like. SOLUTION: This tablet containing bismuth-based glass and a refractory filler is characterized in that: (1) the bismuth-based glass contains, as the glass composition in mass%, 70-90% of Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 2-12% of B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 0-5% of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 1-15% of ZnO, 0-10% of BaO, and 0-8% of CuO+Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>; (2) 1-25 vol.% of alumina is included as the refractory filler; and (3) the filling rate is 71% or more.
