PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal capable of reducing power consumption of a camera when detecting a direction of a face of a user by the camera and displaying a display direction of an image, a character or the like according to the detected face direction. SOLUTION: A motion detection part 24 detects a motion state and a static state of a mobile terminal 100 itself by an acceleration sensor 23. A camera activation part 25 activates a camera 1 when the mobile terminal 100 changes from the motion state to the static state. A vertical-face-detection part 21 detects a face vertically from a face image of the user photographed by the camera 1, and an image direction control part 22 creates display image data 22b by adjusting display image data 22a to a vertical-face-direction for display on a display part 3.
