Disclosed is a non-volatile storage device that reduces preparation time for beginning recording of the next content data when consecutively recording a plurality of content data in a non-volatile memory device that is provided with a page caching function. A cache freeing unit of a non-volatile storage device (1), upon receiving a command for freeing of cache from an access device (2), simultaneously frees from the cache addresses that are included in the same logical block from among a plurality of addresses that have been cached. In addition, the non-volatile storage device (1) is provided with a cache information output unit for externally outputting information related to the time required for freeing addresses that have been cached; wherein the access device (2) refers to the information and selects addresses that are to be freed.
