<p>An interface management system for a hybrid fibre-coaxial (HFC) access network comprises at least one electronic switch module (8) provided with a switching matrix having at one side thereof a plurality of signal inputs and on the other side thereof a plurality of signal outputs. A management controller (7) is connected to the switch module and adapted to select the switching paths through the matrix between the inputs and outputs. The management controller (7) has control interface means for receiving switching instructions. The switching matrix comprises a plurality of switching devices and signal combiners inter- connected such that each of said signal inputs can be connected individually or in combination with any of the other signal inputs to any of the signal outputs.</p>
