<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needleless medical connector with a valve mechanism exhibiting a plus or bolus effect, or a nonbolus effect when stopping the valve mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A needleless connector 10 is used for medical use in constitution of promoting a flow of a fluid passing itself, and includes a housing 12 having an inlet 14 and an outlet 18. The connector 10 also includes a flexible tube assembly 22 defining a fluid passage 32 between the inlet 14 and the outlet 18. The flexible tube assembly 22 is operable between a noncompressed state and a compressed state. The fluid passage 32 has the first internal volume under the noncompressed state, and the second internal volume larger than or substantially equal to the first internal volume, under the compressed state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
