UNIT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING REACTOR POWER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a water level of a reactor from reaching a high water warning level even though manipulation is performed to insert control rods at the same time during a low-output operation such as a start-up range. SOLUTION: A control unit has a control rod manipulation limiter which stops a control rod drive device from manipulating control rods when the water level of the reactor becomes a limitation level set between a target water level and a high water warning level and a setter which sets set points of the high water level warning level and/or that of the limitation level at different ones according to reactor power levels. Even though manipulation is performed to insert a plurality of control rods at the same time during a low-output operation such as a start-up operation, the water level of the reactor can be restrained from reaching the high water warning level.
