PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for ferro-coke capable of manufacturing the ferro-coke with high strength at low cost while reducing the pulverization amount of coal, i.e., a carbon-containing substance when the ferro-coke is manufactured in an iron mill by carbonizing a molded article of the carbon-containing substance and an iron-containing substance. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the ferro-coke by carbonizing the molded article of the carbon-containing substance and the iron-containing substance, the manufacturing method for the ferro-coke characterized in that a powder coke generated from a chamber oven coke manufacturing process is used as a part of the carbon-containing substance is used. The amount of use of the powder coke is preferably 6 mass% or less of the mass of the carbon-containing substance and the maximum value (powder coke maximum addition ratio) of the amount of use of the powder coke relative to the mass of the carbon-containing substance is preferably determined from the average particle diameter of the powder coke.
