PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure cause notification device that achieves a rapid and accurate response to a panic. SOLUTION: The failure cause notification device includes an image receiving means, a failure occurrence decision means, and a failure cause notification means. The image receiving means receives image data of a failure screen displayed on a display screen of a device to be monitored, to show the occurrence of failure. The failure occurrence decision means decides whether or not a specific failure occurs in the device to be monitored, based on a background color of the received image data.
