PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably carry out erasure of restricting information for disclosure accompanying disposal of an image forming apparatus according to a state of the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: Use history or error history regarding a malfunction which has occurred in the past concerning a component in the image forming apparatus is stored in a history storing part 37. Whether the disposal is suitable or not is determined by a disposal determination part 35 based on the information stored to the history storing part, when a signal to the effect of carrying out a preparatory process for disposal of the image forming apparatus is input. The execution or canceling of an erasure process for the information that is stored to a restricting information for disclosure storing part 38 based on the determination is selected. The erasure process is selected from a recovery impossible pattern that completely erases the restricting information for disclosure and a recovery possible pattern that erases the restricting information for disclosure after evading the same to an evaded information storing part. The restricting information for disclosure is recovered if it is before the passage of a constant period after evasion in the recovery possible pattern.
