PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of easily detecting opening/closing of a door body by utilizing a hall IC without needing a complicated link mechanism while reducing malfunction. SOLUTION: This refrigerator includes a refrigerator body having a storage compartment, the hall IC connected to a control device disposed at a body side, the door body covering a front opening part of the storage compartment of the body, a permanent magnet disposed on the door body for switching ON-OFF of the hall IC, and an operating part disposed on the door body. The permanent magnet operating the hall IC is ordinarily positioned at a lower part with respect to a hall IC operating position, and the refrigerator includes a mechanism for lifting up the hall IC to an operable position when the operating part is operated.
