PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace frame by which parallelism in the interval direction of vertical columns on both sides arranged parallel can be adjusted easily upon assembly by bolt joining. SOLUTION: The brace frame 1 includes a diagonally downward upper brace member 4 and a diagonally upward lower brace member 5 arranged between the vertical columns 2 and 3 arranged parallel. An intermediate metal member 6 connecting the assembly ends of the upper brace member 4 and the lower brace member 5 with the vertical column 3 comprises a combination of two vertically long outer plates 8 and an intermediate plate 9 inserted between them. Through-holes 13 and 14 for joining with fastening bolts 12 are formed in the outer plates 8 and the intermediate plate 9 at a plurality of vertical positions. The vertical arrangement intervals of the through-holes 13 formed in the outer plates 8 and of the through-holes 14 formed in the intermediate plate 9 are set to be different by a half of or less than half of the difference between the outer diameter of a shaft 12a of the fastening bolt 12 and the diameter of the through-holes 13, 14.
