PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a reduction in the number of man-hours of construction associated with a method for constructing a pile head section. SOLUTION: In this method for constructing the pile head section of a cast-in-place concrete pile, a reinforcement cage 4 for being installed in an excavated hole, and a precast pile head joint 1, in which a main reinforcement and a dowel reinforcement for joining an auxiliary main reinforcement and an upper section of the reinforcement cage together are partially and integrally fixed together by a concrete body, are preformed; the reinforcement cage 4 is installed in the excavated hole; the precast pile head joint 1 is installed in the upper section of the reinforcement cage; a tremie pipe is inserted into a tremie pipe inserting hole which penetrates in a vertical direction and which is provided in the precast pile head joint; the concrete is placed in the excavated hole via the tremie pipe, and extra infilled over an upper section of the concrete body 6 of the precast pile head joint 1; and an extra-infilled section 9a is removed after the hardening of the placed concrete 9.
