PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wasteful consumption of a prepreg tape to the extent possible in obtaining the prepreg tape with a desired standard width. SOLUTION: A cutting means 3 cuts the prepreg tape T in its longitudinal direction from one of ends serving as a reference end of the prepreg tape T having a first standard width toward the other end in a breadthwise direction at every position corresponding to a desired second standard width, whereby it cuts the prepreg tape T into two prepreg tapes T1 having the second standard width and a margin T2 sequentially from the reference end toward the other end in the breadthwise direction.
