摘要 The invention relates to a data carrier, which forms a film structure, which comprises at least one polymer film (1) having a plurality of micropores (2) extending all the way through and are distributed over the area of the film, wherein an additional layer (3) of a polymer material is applied to one of the surfaces of the film such that the material of said layer at least partially fills the micropores (2), wherein the depth (d) to which the micropores are filled is selected while taking into consideration the previously determined data amount. The free space of the micropores is filled with transparent varnish, paint, or magneto-optical material. The method for producing the data carrier comprises the polymer film being irradiated with a location-modulated beam of heavy ions, the film being etched in order to form the micropores therein, said micropores extending all the way through, then a film-like layer of the polymer material being applied to one of the surfaces of the porous film, said layer being heated to a temperature at which the material of the layer achieves a viscous state, and the film structure being subjected to compression at a force that is sufficient for the layer to connect to the porous film and for the material of the layer to penetrate the micropores up to a depth corresponding to the previously determined data amount.
