PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain reductions in clean house size and clean house building material cost, and further reductions in work period and assembling cost by improvement of assembling operation efficiency. SOLUTION: The iron core transport tank for storing and transporting to an installation place a U-shaped iron core of the disassembled and transportable transformer has a structure for taking out the U-shaped iron core 1 constituted by placing a yoke iron core on a lower end part of two leg iron cores. The tank is constituted in a rectangular parallelepiped shape including a tank body 7a having an opening formed in an upper surface in a size larger than a projection shape of the U-shaped iron core upper surface and an opening formed in a side surface facing a divided surface of one main leg or a side surface of a side leg of the U-shaped iron core 1 in a size larger than the divided surface projection shape of the main leg or the side surface projection shape of the side leg, an upper surface plate 10a detachably installed on the opening of the upper surface of the tank body, and a side surface plate 9 detachably installed on the opening of the side surface.
