The method involves initializing a start based on a stop condition of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle. Starter motors of the vehicle are coupled with a crankshaft for starting the internal combustion engine by initializing. Coupling of the starter motors with the crankshaft is detached based on a variable number of burns in the internal combustion engine, where the variable number is determined based on an operating parameter of the vehicle. Decoupling of the starter motors with the crankshaft is determined from a characteristic curve. |
