<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for recovering energy from exhaust air discharged from an artificial wind generator with high efficiency without limiting the drive source of the artificial wind generator and without decreasing the coefficient of performance of the artificial wind generator. <P>SOLUTION: This device for recovering the energy from the artificial wind generated by the artificial wind generator is provided with: the artificial wind generator generating an air flow; a wind mill having a rotating shaft attached with a rotating blade and providing rotational force by the air flow; and a recovery means recovering the energy generated by the rotation of the rotating shaft. The wind mill is a lift type windmill providing the rotational force by lift.
