<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable communication method and device in a UDP (user datagram protocol) platform using techniques for message SAR (Segmentation And Re-assembly) and for message re-transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The communication method in a UDP platform of a transmitter includes a step of segmenting a message provided to the transmitter into packets of an already-set size, a step of applying serial numbers to the respective segmented packets, a step of storing the packets in a packet buffer and then transmitting the packets to a receiver in an order of the applied serial numbers, and a step of waiting for reception of a control message informing of completion of the reception of the packets from the receiver. The communication method in the UDP platform of the receiver includes a step of receiving the segmented packets of the already-set size from the transmitter in the order of the segmented packet serial numbers, and a step of combining the segmented packets to complete a message in the serial number order if the received segmented packets are message packets and the segmented packets have no loss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
