<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pedal device which performs a brake operation by a brake pedal, while a lower part of the brake pedal is rotated to a vehicle body front side by utilizing force generated by a collision. <P>SOLUTION: This brake pedal device includes an impact arm 20 supported by a support shaft of a pedal bracket 3 between the brake pedal 6 and an impact bracket 12 for a collision provided in a steering member 11, and a collision part in which an end of the impact arm 20 collides with the impact bracket 12 by a vehicle body front part collision. The support shaft is rotated and displaced by a collision of the collision part. If a relative displacement amount between the impact bracket 12 and the impact arm 20 is within a prescribed range, the other end of the impact arm 20 is engaged to a projection part 24 of the brake pedal 6. When the relative displacement amount exceeds prescribed displacement amount, the other end of the impact arm 20 gets over the brake pedal 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
