PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf spring for the footwear used when assisting the walking of a person with a weak kicking force and of a healthy person. SOLUTION: This leaf spring 1 for the footwear is inserted from an opening Ac opened in the upper part in the side of the heel section Aa of the footwear A, and is attached to the upper face of the heel section Aa in the footwear A, with the flatly formed upper-face central portion of a spring body 2 turned upward. When the weight of the person is applied to the leaf spring 1 for the footwear in walking, the leaf spring 1 for the footwear is deformed to mitigate a shock applied to the heel Ba of the person's foot B. When the weight of the person is shifted from the heel side to the toe side, the heel Ba in the kicking leg side is pushed up by a restoring force accumulated in the leaf spring 1 for the footwear so as to assist the walking of the person with the weak kicking force such as the elderly and the sick and of the healthy person.
