The present invention relates to a method for joining a first (3) and a second (4) component, of which at least one comprises a fiber-reinforced plastic material. The components are disposed relative to each other so that a gap region (2) remains between the first (3) and the second (4) component. The gap region (2) is filled at least in segments with an uncured plastic filler material (5) in which nanoparticles (12) are dispersed. Energy is introduced locally into the nanoparticles (12) in order to cure the plastic filler material (5). The invention further relates to a device for joining two components.
