The invention relates to turbine design. A method for forming the tip of the flow portion of a turbine includes dividing the inter-blade passage of the turbine cascade into two zones and transferring the throat cross-section of the inter-blade passage of the turbine cascade to the region of the front outlet cross-section of the cascade at the exit from an oblique section, downstream of which annular flow deflecting protrusions are mounted above and below the flow portion. The first zone of rotation is designed so that the height of the meridional contours of the passage increases in a direction from the inlet to the outlet of said zone. The second zone of acceleration is provided with or without an additional rotation of the inter-blade passage. This zone includes the oblique section of the inter-blade passage and is designed so that the height of the meridional contours of the passage decreases in a direction towards the outlet of the passage, right up to the boundary associated with the throat cross-section. The blade profile has an additional elongation after the rotation of the inter-blade channel. In the flow rotation zone, the height of the meridional contours of the cascade may also decrease or remain constant. The performance factor of the turbine is increased as a result of loss reduction.
