The cushion (1) has an elastic brace element (2) with two arms (21, 22) arranged at a distance from each other, and a connection point (23) with thickness that determines a spring-back effect of the cushion. A filling (3) with preset shore hardness is provided in the brace element. The shore hardness determines a damping effect and the spring-back effect of the cushion, where the filling is fixedly connected with the arms. The brace element is made of carbon fiber and polyoxymethylene, and the filling is made of ethyl vinyl acetate and polyurethane. An independent claim is also included for a shoe sole comprising a holder for accommodating a tread cushion.
