<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse testing system or the like capable of miniaturizing a measuring instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The measuring instrument 1 outputs optical pulses toward an optical fiber line, receives return light from the optical fiber line, and stores intensity of the return light and light reception timing of the return light as test results.
