<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide liquid crystal shutter glasses capable of reducing flicker in observation of a video image, and to provide a video display system which uses the liquid crystal shutter glasses. <P>SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal element driving part 64 inside the shutter glasses 6, polarity inversion drive for alternately inverting polarity of a drive voltage to be applied is carried out to a liquid crystal element 65 constituting a light shielding shutter for a left-eye lens 6L and a right-eye lens 6R. The liquid crystal element driving part 64 inverts polarity of the drive voltage within an opening action period of the light shielding shutter. During the opening action period, deviations among the polarities of a voltage applied to the liquid crystal element 65 are reduced, and consequently, a luminance difference between polarities is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
