<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost universal holder of simple structure capable of holding articles in various shape. <P>SOLUTION: A movable plate 3 is fitted to a pair of rails 2a and 2b extending in the lateral direction freely to slide on these rails 2a and 2b. A lower fixed plate 4 is arranged opposite to the movable plate 3 in the vertical direction. An article A is held by pinching between a first holding part 3a of the movable plate 3 and a second holding part 4a of the fixed plate 4.
