摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining different materials, by which aluminum or an aluminum alloy material can be easily joined with a steel material at a low cost, and a joint having a high joining strength can be obtained, and to provide a filler metal therefor. SOLUTION: The aluminum based material 2 is overlapped on the steel material 1 having zinc based coating layers 4 composed of zinc or a zinc alloy on both surfaces of the steel material 1 at their edge portions in such a manner that the surface having the zinc based coating layers 4 formed thereon comes on the side of the aluminum based material 2 to be welded. In this case, the aluminum based material 2 to be welded is arranged so as to come on the side of a torch 5. Then, the overlapped portion is welded by the overlapped fillet welding by the AC metal inert gas (MIG) arc welding using the filler metal 6 containing 1.5 to 2.5 mass% of Si and the balance being Al with unavoidable impurities.
