PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for a hydraulic shovel capable of smoothly discharging cutting chips cut by side blades of upper and lower jaws to the outside without being dwelled in the jaws. SOLUTION: The upper jaw (3) and the framed lower jaw (4) are formed at an arm end of a hydraulic shovel to vertically face each other. At least the upper jaw (3) is formed to rotate downward relative to the lower jaw (4). On both sides of the right and left of the upper jaw (3) and the lower jaw (4), an upper side blade (5) and a lower side blade (6) are formed. The upper side blade (5) is offset inward relative to the lower side blade (6).
