DETERGENT COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR REMOVING SOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline detergent composition including an alkaline source in an amount effective for removing soil and a surfactant blend in an amount effective for removing soil. SOLUTION: The alkaline detergent composition includes a source of alkalinity and a blend of nonionic surfactants that enhances the cleaning of starchy soils. The blend of nonionic surfactants preferably includes an alkyl polyglycoside surfactant and a silicone surfactant having a hydrophobic silicone group and a pendant hydrophilic group. Preferably, the blend of nonionic surfactants includes a polymer additive and a surfactant having a hydrophobic group and an ethylene oxide residue-containing group. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
