PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can increase a number of light emittable colors without increasing a fluorescence layer. SOLUTION: While a display screen unit 34 of the portable telephone set (portable terminal) 100 includes respective display patterns P3, P4 and P5, it includes: a green color reflection sheet 15d, a blue color reflection sheet 15e and a red color reflection sheet 15f which can respectively and selectively penetrate red color, green color and blue color of light; a fluorescence layer 15c which includes a display pattern P2, and also is excited by an ultraviolet ray and emits light; a green color LED 152a, a blue color LED 152b and a red color LED 152c which can emit red color, green color and blue color of light to the reflection sheets 15d, 15e and 15f; and an ultraviolet ray LED 152d which emits the ultraviolet ray which penetrates the reflection sheets 15d, 15e and 15f, and also reaches to the fluorescence layer 15c.
