<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing a bio-diesel fuel which is easy to commercialize (industrially produce) while enhancing the activity of a catalyst, a bio-diesel fuel manufactured by this manufacturing process, a capsulated catalyst, and a process for producing this capsulated catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: In manufacturing the bio-diesel fuel by the transesterification of raw materials of fats and oils with a lower alcohol, a catalyst existing in a capsule is used and the bio-diesel fuel is manufactured by using the manufacturing process. The capsulated catalyst having at least one kind selected from the group consisting of alginic acids and the like as a capsular wall and at least one catalyst selected from the group consisting of an alkali solid catalyst and the like existing in a capsule is used in manufacturing the bio-diesel fuel.
