<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine speed control device for an outboard motor, which facilitates adjustment of engine speed and performs a fine control of the engine speed in a low rotation region. <P>SOLUTION: This engine speed control device includes a rise instruction signal output means (a rise switch) for outputting a rise instruction signal showing a rise instruction of the engine speed when operated by an operator, and a lowering instruction signal output means (lowering switch) for outputting a lowering instruction signal showing a lowering instruction of the engine speed when operated by the operator. The engine speed is changed according to the rise instruction signal or the lowering instruction signal. When the detected engine speed NE is a prescribed number of rotation NEref or below and when the engine speed NE exceeds the prescribed number of rotation NEref, a change amount of the engine speed (high rotation region change amount NEDH and low rotation region change amount NEDL) per prescribed time are made different (S16 to S32). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
